Funding Programs for Homeowners

Effective August 4, 2006, the Economic Development Authority (EDA) launched a program that provides loans and grants to help finance project costs for the closure and replacement of a NON-LEAKING residential underground storage tank (UST). This program is called the Petroleum Underground Storage Tank Remediation, Upgrade and Closure Program (PUST).

When you call, be sure to request a complimentary instructional DVD that takes you step by step through the application process.

Funding is also available for homeowners with LEAKING USTs. This program is available through the NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP). Please see the UST fund fact sheet on the NJDEP's website at www.nj.gov/dep/srp/finance/ustfund, or call our office more more information.
